Transparency Report
A campus hazing transparency report, including a five year history of organizations found responsible for violating the Code of Conduct (hazing) is provided here. Hazing statistics are also included in the annual security report.
- Phi Delta Theta
- Violation: hazing of new members, including illegal use of alcohol or drugs
- Date of incident: Fall 2024
- Date of investigation: Office of Student Conduct began investigation in partnership with Phi Delta Theta National Fraternity in October of 2024
- Date investigation ended: December 2024
- Outcome: University accepted the findings of the National Fraternity which closed the chapter
- Chapter was notified of outcome in December 2024 which includes loss of university recognition through summer 2028
- Sigma Pi
- Violation: hazing of new members, including illegal use of alcohol or drugs
- Date of incident: January 2019
- Date of investigation: Office of Student Conduct began investigation in January 2019
- Date investigation ended: Spring 2019
- Outcome: University placed organization on disciplinary probation. Multiple other violations followed, resulting in charges of non-compliance.
- Chapter was notified of outcome on August 11, 2023, which includes loss of university recognition through August 3, 2026.
- Beta Theta Pi fraternity had recognition from NC State revoked on December 21, 2021 so the group should no longer be in operation due to hazing violations. The organization is eligible to return as of August 1, 2025.
